The Gordon City Campus hosted a successful Hospitality and Tourism Jobs Expo on Tuesday 15 October 2024, with over 220 attendees ready to explore careers opportunities in these growing industries. Hosted by Workforce Australia Local Jobs (Barwon), Skilling the Bay, The Gordon, and Tourism Greater Geelong and The Bellarine, the expo offered a platform for job seekers to connect with leading employers, training organisations and support services across the Geelong region.
Highlights of the event included culinary demonstrations by renowned chefs such as The Gordon’s Black Hat Chef, Brennan Hill, and MasterChef’s Emelia Jackson. Guests were treated to sampling delicious paella and curry dishes, entertained by live music from Levi Anderson and K Rock, and had the change to network with potential employers, with some fortunate guests securing job offers on the spot.
The success of the day was made possible by many local organisations, stall holders and industry partners. We want to express of appreciation to all:
If you missed the expo, there’s still a chance to view job opportunities presented on the day by visiting the Hospitality and Tourism Jobs Expo Online Jobs Board
