With Victoria’s Zero Emissions Roadmap; stating “by 2030, we will see 50 per cent of light vehicles sold in Victoria with zero emissions technology.” In response to industry change the Gordon has developed the AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis to upskill qualified automotive technicians in EV and Hybrid vehicle diagnostic training.
The AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis will provide automotive technicians with skills and knowledge to diagnose faults in EV and Hybrid motor vehicles and ultimately support Victoria’s transition to the clean economy.
The accredited course delivery model is under review and the Gordon is currently investigating an intensive training program that is offered over a 10-week period and/or continuing with a 48 week delivery mode.
This AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis requires successful completion of all 10 units. The 10 units of competency has 1 core and 9 electives. The Gordon electives have been selected to ensure the focus is on Hybrid, plug in hybrid and battery electric vehicles.
Those undertaking the AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis must have completed an automotive mechanical Certificate III qualification. At the commencement of the course you will be required to undertake a short pre-requisite to be able to undertake the AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis. The pre-requisites units listed below will be delivered as part of this accredited training.
