Our skill sets are delivered through face-to-face classes and some online classes by experienced industry professionals, the program combines practical and theoretical learning to equip you with advanced plumbing knowledge and skills. You'll gain the tools to confidently manage complex plumbing projects while refining your problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
This stream, focuses on the design and implementation of complex water service systems, equipping students with the knowledge to install, test, and maintain water supply networks in compliance with industry standards and environmental considerations.
Please note: All persons who seek to become licenced with the VBA are required to hold the ‘Plumbing Licence for Common Units Skill Set.
You may not need to complete all these units if you have previously completed the units from the Certificate IV in Plumbing services prior to 2025, or are currently licenced with the VBA, hold an Electrical Contractor Licence issued by Energy Safe Victoria (ESV), or hold Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction. You will need to discuss this with the program area prior to enrolment
Students can pursue a licence in one or more of the following skillsets. The VBA require students to hold the units from the “common licence skill set”.

Each student must complete a pre-training review as part of their application. The outcome of your pre-training review assists our teachers and trainers to better understand your capabilities prior to training and enables you to be matched to the right program. Please note that the listed electives are delivered by The Gordon but you may not need to complete all of these units to successfully complete this qualification. If you have previously completed any of the units of competency relevant to this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT).
