Course description

This course is specifically designed for you to pursue a career in site management. Learn the skills and knowledge required to apply structural principles, codes, standards, and legal requirements to small to medium-sized residential and commercial construction projects.

Site Management involves effectively managing various factors surrounding construction, including deploying crews with specialised skills, ensuring product compliance, managing contract specialised skills, and effectively handling factors such as weather and site location.

In addition to site management, this program covers essential skills such as planning and supervising safe building and construction work. You will develop proficiency in contract preparation and administration, ensuring smooth project execution. Additionally, you will learn how to apply quality principles to building and construction projects, ensuring high standards are met.

Entrance requirements

    • Applicants are expected to have literacy and numeracy skills at Year 11 or Year 12 or Australian Core Skills Framework Level 3.
    • Applicants must have some industry experience to be eligible for the night classes intake.
    • You must reside in Victoria to access Victorian Government Subsidised Fees and any incentive such as Free TAFE. Full fees apply to all non-Victorian residents.

If you have previously completed any of the units of competency relevant to this course, you may be eligible for Credit Transfer (CT).
