Are you passionate about working in the hair or beauty industries? Hair and beauty salon assistants perform routine tasks in hairdressing or beauty salons.
This course will teach you the skills to work in a busy hair salon or day spa. You will learn to communicate and prepare clients for services, shampooing and basin service techniques, basic hair styling, and product knowledge.
This course is an excellent way to start your career and prepare you for a hairdressing apprenticeship or beauty therapy traineeship.
If you are studying your full VCE or VCE-VM program at The Gordon you can include a VETDSS course as part of your VCE program. Apply for a VETDSS course.
Important Information:
We recommended that the students obtain a work placement or work experience in a Hairdressing or Beauty Salon. Two weeks in the term break or one day per week is recommended to support students learning. Students are responsible for organising their own work experience.
If you need help, visit Customer Service or request application support via email.
