A General Education course is the perfect place to start your learning journey. Don’t worry if you don’t know what level to start at, we will assess your language and numeracy to ensure you are enrolled in the right General Education course for your current skill level.
Our courses are run by engaging and supportive teaching staff who aim to improve your basic skills and give you the confidence to continue your learning journey. The courses involve reading, writing, mathematics, oral communication, and general education skills. You will gain formal recognition for your study and be able to pathway to courses at The Gordon or secure employment.
If you want to undertake our Diploma of Nursing program and need to refresh your skills, our Bridging into Nursing Studies (BINS) course has two intakes per year.
Take the first step and book your one-on-one interview with our teaching staff to discuss which program best suits your learning requirements. We can also assist you with your application process.
“I initially completed the Bridging into Nursing and Medical Terminology courses, to test my skills and see if I could balance study and family life. Through those, I have found a new confidence and belief that I can do this. I’m now studying the Diploma of Nursing. I am learning something new every day and loving every minute of it! There is a lot of teacher support, more class contact time and smaller classes. I’m getting hands-on experience and the skills I need to gain employment.”
