Mumgu-dhal tyama-tiyt is the Aboriginal name for Learning Pathways or Message Stick of Knowledge.

The full-time 6-month programs run over three days and aims to re-engage local Indigenous students with learning. The courses are suitable for students aged 15 to 17 years.

The courses build learners' skills, confidence and personal connections while reconnecting them with learning. The hands-on programs also equip learners with the literacy, numeracy and communications skills to pathway to further studies, apprenticeships or employment.

NB: Mumgu-dhal tyama-tiyt comes from two Victorian Aboriginal languages: the Woiwurrung words' mumgu-dhal' meaning 'message stick-of' in partnership with the Keeraywooroong word 'tyama-tiyt' meaning 'knowledge'. The Wurundjeri Council and South West Aboriginal Languages Committee have given permission to use the words.
