Joe Ormeno, CEO of The Gordon and graduate Rebecca MasThe Gordon’s graduation ceremony has recognised the achievements of more than 2,600 students from across the Greater Geelong and Wyndham campuses.

Students completing a Certificate I to IV, diploma or advanced diploma across the centres of Health and Community Services, Science and Technology, Design and Construction, and Culinary, Education and Teaching, were recognised at a celebratory event.

Joe Ormeno The Gordon’s CEO addressed the students stating, “I extend my warmest congratulations to our graduates and wish you all the best in your chosen career. Today marks the culmination of your hard work and dedication, and we are incredibly proud of your achievements. As you progress in your work life, we encourage you to address the new challenges facing our community and make a positive contribution. You have the potential to shape our community’s future, and we are excited to see the impact you will make.”

Mr Ormeno continued stating that The Gordon is committed to unlocking the full potential of our students through innovative and flexible learning experiences, and attested that the number of students qualifying in their field is testament to the perseverance of both teachers and students at the Institute, and their desire to excel amidst many challenges.

Rebeca Mas, who completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing congratulated her fellow graduates stating, “Always remember that you create your own opportunities. Do not be afraid to set goals for yourselves, and believe that you can achieve anything you set your mind to. 

“Success is when preparation meets opportunity, so take the steps to be prepared, then look for the opportunities and don’t be afraid to take risks or reach for the stars.”
