Entry requirements
- Attending a secondary school
- Literacy and numeracy level equivalent to the successful completion of Year 9
- Students selecting this course are required to attend evening classes to participate in dinner service at The Davidson Restaurant. Service classes are scheduled across Term 2 & 3 for approximately 12 weeks – timetable confirmed at commencement.

You will learn
- To prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including espresso coffee, non-alcoholic drinks, and alcohol, while adhering to responsible service guidelines
- Develop excellent customer service skills, including effective communication, cultural sensitivity, and teamwork
- To apply hygienic practices for food safety, ensuring proper handling, storage, and preparation techniques
- Practice workplace safety by participating in safe work practices and maintaining a clean and organised environment
Course outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:
- Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence
- ATAR contribution: if you undertake scored assessment, the study score can contribute directly to the ATAR, either as one of your best four studies (the primary four) or as a fifth or sixth study increment
- Certificate II in Hospitality qualification
