Entry requirements

  • Attending a secondary school
  • Literacy and numeracy level equivalent to the successful completion of Year 9

You will learn

  • Introduction to various drawing materials and techniques
  • Hands-on experience in using Adobe suite of products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro
  • Fundamentals of design and illustration, both traditional and digital
  • Exploration of page layout, typography, digital photography and video editing
  • Application of colour to enhance visual work

Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:

  • Following block credit rules, recognition of up to six VCE Units. Credits accrue in the following sequence; 1, 2, 3, 4, 3 and 4 
  • ATAR contribution: if you receive a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence you may be eligible for an increment towards your ATAR 
  • Certificate III in Design Fundamentals qualification
