Entry requirements
- Attending a secondary school
- Successful completion of Year 9 with the equivalent literacy and numeracy levels

You will learn
- Build basic wall and roof frames
- Use carpentry tools and equipment correctly
- Understand and apply basic plans and drawings
- Gain knowledge of levelling procedures and sustainable construction practices
- Follow safety requirements in the construction industry
Course outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:
- Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence.
- ATAR contribution: if you receive a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence you may be eligible for an increment towards your ATAR.
- A Statement of Attainment for the partial completion of Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship.
